Another New Club 'Scope

The NYAA has ordered a 5" f/6 Astrophysics refractor (with telescompressor). Delivery is currently scheduled for the end of 1996. In the meantime, the club will be looking for a previously enjoyed G11 mount to go with the new 'scope.

McLaughlin Planetarium to Close Nov 5th

It is with great sadness that we heard about the imminent closure of the planetarium, due to a reduction in the provincial grant to the Royal Ontario Museum. The ROM (at some time in the future) plans to remake the planetarium into "a revenue-producing attraction using state-of-the-art technology," whatever that means.
