STARFEST 1999
Keynote Speakers

Tim Puckett (The Puckett Observatory) is a veteran amateur astronomer and astrophotographer, and has built several robotic telescopes to enable him to image the night sky and conduct nova searches (see www.cometwatch.com). To date, he has discovered three supernovae and has had his work featured on ABC, NBC, CBS, FOX, CNN, BBC, Good Morning America, and the Discovery and Learning Channels. His photographs have been published in magazines around the world, and details of his work appear in the book "The Art and Science of CCD Astronomy".

In his presentation, Tim will give us a guided tour of the "ultimate" observatory. He will describe in detail how he built a fully automated observatory, and how he uses it to make valuable contributions to the advancement of astronomy.
