Charles Sinsofsky

Charles Sinsofsky (Internet Astronomy for Beginners, Internet Astronomy for Die-Hards), is an Open-Systems Manager for SSA/Canada, whose interests include astrophotography and deep sky observing. Charles will be conducting two sessions for people who are interested in using the Internet as a resource for astronomy.

Internet Astronomy for Beginners
The first session will consist of explaining the resources on the Internet related to Astronomy, from a beginner's perspective. Several WEB-Sites will be shown, and how to access and interact with them. This will be a great opportunity for anyone considering getting onto the Internet and wanting to use it to enhance their enjoyment of the hobby, but are a little intimidated by computers, and 'Surfing' the WEB in general.

Internet Astronomy for Die-Hards
The second session is intended for the Internet junkies. This talk will focus on some of the vast resources available on the Internet for Professional and Amateur Astronomers. Several new technologies such as Streaming Real-Time Video, and Audio through the Internet, will be demonstrated. As well, access to several of the huge on-line databases will be shown.
