HALE-BOPP:
THE GRAND FINALE

Hale-Bopp was an exquisite comet. Its extraordinarily bright dust tail enabled millions of people to observe it from brightly lit urban areas. From the country, the comet's twin tails were blazing and put on a spectacular show as the comet moved slowly across the sky. On Saturday evening, through the images and commentary of notable astronomy enthusiasts, including co-discoverer Tom Bopp, we re-live the excitement, as we bid farewell to this specter of the night sky. Terence Dickinson will host our astronomical version of "The Tonight Show". It will be fun; it will be entertaining!
