Dr. Marshall McCall (Boom Or Bust? The Evolution of Stars), is an Astronomer and Professor at the York University Department of Physics and Astronomy. His primary research interests are the structure, evolution, and formation of galaxies and galaxy aggregates.

Each time we go out to view the night sky, we expect to see a panorama of stars which looks pretty much like what we saw the night before. However, stars do not live forever, and their appearances change as they age. Ultimately, some die with a whimper, others with a bang. Marshall's presentation will provide amateur astronomers with an introduction to the subject of stellar evolution and its consequences, including a tip on where to look for the next bang.
