SPECIAL ACTIVITIES

KIDFEST 2003
This special program is aimed at giving children, and those young at heart, an opportunity to learn about "what's up there". Ken Davy and Susan Engels will conduct the program on Saturday morning in the small tent. Each session will consist of a short presentation followed by crafts to reinforce the concepts learned. The realm of comets, meteorites and asteroids will be explored at this year's Kidfest.

COMETS: FRIEND OR FOE (Ages 3 - 6)*
Join us for stories about comets from ages gone by. Were they friendly signs or death omens? No understanding of Latin or Mesopotamian languages required.

THINGS THAT FALL OUT OF THE SKY (Ages 7 - 9)*
The earth is under attack by aliens!!!! Well, not really, but it is bombarded daily by space junk. Follow along as we explore the things that collide with the earth and the result thereafter.

COUSINS THAT NEVER MEET (Ages 10 & up)**
Comets and Asteroids are remnants of our Solar System. We shall look at these objects which can be the subject of low or big budget disaster movies.
