Wayne Parker, Northsheds Observatories (Building a Backyard Roll-Off Observatory), is a 5 time Juno Award, Grammy Nominated musician/songwriter. When traveling throughout the world in the 1980's with his group Glass Tiger, Wayne carried a small telescope with him everywhere and introduced many of the people he met to the world of stargazing. After GT came off the road in the early 90's Wayne devoted much of his time to his first passion - Astronomy. After years of planning, Wayne has launched Northsheds Observatories, a Roll-Off Observatory manufacturing business based near Toronto selling Roll-Off plans, kits and local installations.

Wayne will talk about constructing a backyard Roll-Off Observatory from the ground up. The presentation will include a look at various styles of backyard observatories and construction methods.
