TORONTO HITS BOTTOM The occultations section of the 1994 RASC Observer's Hand- book lists Toronto at 79.2 W longitude and 43.4 N latitude. This puts ol' T.O. in Lake Ontario about 10 kilometres offshore! Very much alarmed at this unexpected development, we did a quick check and are happy to report that, according to Handbook data, Los Angeles has not yet fallen into the Pacific!

DDO OBSERVATORY TOUR FOR NYAA MEMBERS

A tour of the DDO observatory will take place on Saturday May 14th at 21:00 hours exclusively for members of the NYAA. This is not planned to be like other tours conducted at the observatory for the general public or other astronomy clubs.

Please mark your calendars accordingly to assure a good turnout. The club's reputation is at stake, we need a good turnout! Be sure to bring your solar eclipse photos.
