Sections
Photographs must be entered in one of the five sections described below:
- NATURAL SKY PHENOMENA
Any astronomical subject that can be photographed using a camera on a tripod can be entered in this category this includes star trails, aurora, meteors, satellites, and atmospheric phenomena.
- SOLAR SYSTEM
Any photographs of solar system objects can be entered in this category. This includes the sun, moon, the planets, comets, asteroids.
- DEEP SKY I (PHOTOGRAPHIC)
Any photographs of deep sky objects using standard photographic equipment, techniques and processing (including push processing) can be entered in this category. These photographs may be taken prime focus or piggy back.
- DEEP SKY II (DIGITAL IMAGING)
Any images of deep sky objects take with a CCD camera or images that have been digitize and electronically processed.
- BLOOPERS
Any astrophotograhs which Murphy has helped you to take can be entered in this category.
