Marc Castel (Astrovideo Workshop, CCD Imaging Workshop) is the president of ROBOsky, a business providing engineering consulting services for observatory automation and access to Internet-accessible robotic observatories. He is an engineering graduate from the University of Toronto, entrepreneur and astronomy enthusiast. Marc will conduct two hands on workshops.

In the Astrovideo Workshop, he will demonstrate how to modify inexpensive web and security cameras for astroimaging, and provide practical tips on maximizing their performance for taking great images.

In the CCD Imaging Workshop, he will short circuit the learning curve to taking good CCD images by conducting a real-time demonstration of CCD imaging for beginners. Weather permitting we will acquire live images using ROBOsky robotic observatories over the internet.
