NYAA Comet Hale-Bopp Observing ActivitiesbyMarch 26 - April 8 is the prime observing window for comet Hale-Bopp. During this fourteen day period the comet will peak in brightness and be visible in the moonless evening sky. During this period (weather permitting) nightly observing sessions will be held at the Bog commencing 7:00 PM. The club refractor will be setup to enable members to piggy back their cameras. If you wish to photograph the comet please bring your camera and tripod or ball and socket head. Please note the Hale-Bopp observing sessions may be moved to an alternate dark sky site further from Toronto if suitable arrangements can be made. |
