Sky & Telescope has been serving the astronomical community for nearly a century. This service includes a website that can be used to obtain more information about astronomy, what's happening in the sky, late breaking news, product reviews, and access to other resources that can help you improve your understanding and enjoyment of astronomy.
Instrumentation has always played a key role in expanding our understanding of the universe. On Saturday in "Astronomy in the New Millennium" Carolyn will give a broad overview of how telescopes like the 200", HST, Chandra, Keck, Gemini, VLT, and DRAO, have contributed to this understanding. In addition she will talk about future telescopes and planetary missions that will shape our future understanding.
