Dave Petherick (Observing Through The Decades Panel Discussion), is an automotive engineer that had a brief introduction to astronomy in high school in the early 70's. However, it was not until the late eighties that he became more seriously involved in astronomy. Since then he has built his own telescope, cookbook CCD camera and a "dream" observatory housing a voice-controlled refractor. Dave will "reflect" on his astronomy experiences up to the present.
