PERSEID METEOR WATCH

The Perseid meteor shower will peak on Monday August 12, at 8:00 am.

Organized meteor watches will be conducted on Saturday and Sunday nights using the observing techniques described by Peter Brown in his talk on Friday afternoon.

If you wish to participate in one of these sessions, please bring a lounge chair and warm blankets with you. Further details will be provided prior to the evening observing sessions.

In addition to visually observing the meteors, Phil Gebhardt from the DX Society, will have an FM radio setup, during the day, to allow us to monitor meteor activity.
