KIDFEST '98
This special program is aimed at giving children who attend Starfest an opportunity to learn about "what's up there". The program will be held on Saturday in the children's tent. At this year's Kidfest we will explore the astronomy behind solar and lunar eclipses:
- ECLIPSES, Earth, Moon and Sun (Ages 3 - 6)*
- A talk about solar and lunar eclipses - what they are, why they happen, and a story about what people used to think they were. After the presentation, the children will be involved in arts and crafts, making items that relate to the topic. Coordinator: Susan Engels
- ECLIPSES, A More Detailed Study (Ages 7-12)*
- A more in-depth discussion about solar and lunar eclipses - what they are, why they happen and the various types of eclipses. After the discussion, the kids will be involved in arts and crafts, making items that relate to the topic. Coordinator: Ken Davy
