Cathy McWatters (Observing Through The Decades Panel Discussion), is an astronomy educator, telescope maker and experienced observer. As a child, she was able to observe the night sky from her backyard in Etobicoke, which was then at edge of Toronto. In the early 70's, she joined the staff of the McLaughlin Planetarium and for many years was a "Zeiss Driver" or Star Theatre Operator. In the mid-80's, she started Solar Wind, her own astronomy business that uses a portable planetarium to educate school children about astronomy.
