SPECIAL ACTIVITIES
KIDFEST 2001 This special program is aimed at giving children, and those young at heart, an opportunity to learn about "what's up there". Ken Davy and Susan Engels will conduct the program on Saturday morning in the small tent. Each session will consist of a short presentation followed by crafts to reinforce the concepts learned. The nature of stars will be explored at this year's Kidfest:

STARS - AN INTRODUCTION (Ages 3 - 6)*
Stars in the Sky. Together we will explore what they are, their different colours and sizes.

STARS - PART DEUX (Ages 7 - 9)*
Stars Galore!! Our universe abounds with an amazing collection of Stars. We shall learn more about what the variety, colour and sizes mean when we look at the stars.

STARS - AN INNER VIEW (Ages 10 & up)**
What is happening inside a star? What drives a star from birth to the final stages? We shall dive into the sun and take a look around. What we can see, what we can't see and what astrophysicists are looking for.

*   Parent or Guardian attendance mandatory up to the age of 9.
** Parent or Guardian attendance recommended for age 10 and above.
