Walter MacDonald, Winchester Electronics, (Easy CCD Imaging from the City) has been doing visual deep sky and variable star observing, as well as astrophotography since 1980. In 1998 he succumbed to CCD imaging when he, along with Doug Clapp, started Winchester Electronics. Things have never been the same since!

Walter will demonstrate how easy it is to take great CCD images (both B&W and colour) from the city using an absolute minimum of equipment. By stacking a series of short exposures (typically 30 seconds each) great images can be had without the need for guiding, even if your telescope drive isn't very good. Walter will show both his "front porch" and "backyard" equipment setups that he has used in Oshawa as well as how to use MaxIm DL/CCD to acquire and stack/process images.
