Glenn Norman, "Stars On TV", Main Tent, Friday, 3:30 p.m.; "Confessions Of A Moonstruck Natural", Small Tent, Saturday 3:30 p.m.) has been an Astronomer since he was nine, and was featured as "Canada's Youngest Astronomer" on the 1960's game show, "To Tell The Truth." A Pilot since he was 18, and a Writer for most of his adult life, Glenn has written TV shows as diverse as "The Campbells," "Danger Bay," "Adderly," "Night Heat," "Diamonds," "My Secret Identity," "Vulcan EFTS," "White Fang," and Jules Verne's "Mysterious Island." He has also written animated series such as Brian Jacques' "Redwall," Spain's "Howdi Gaudi," France's "Malo Korrigan & The Space Tracers," and "Ozzy Ozone" - an animated short on Ozone Depletion - for The United Nations. Glenn is Creative Producer for OLN's "Barnstormers" (starring his actor/writer/pilot partner, Michelle Goodeve) and co-creator of "Terrawar" - a new animated, sci-fi series, currently in pre-production.
On Friday, in Confessions Of A Moonstruck Natural, Glenn, a deep-sky observer, fesses up to his re-kindled love affair with the Moon. This humourous talk focuses on the reasons he surrendered to "nature's natural light-polluter," and the new, low-cost technology that allowed him to have a lot of fun doing it.
