KIDFEST 2005
Kidfest is a special program for younger astronomers. This year,
Kidfest asks, "What Will You See in Tonight's Sky?"
Ken Davy and his crew of Kidfest Volunteers conduct this program from
10 a.m. - 12 p.m. Saturday in the small tent. There will be three
presentations (10 - 15 minutes in length), as well as drop-in activities.

What's Up?; Investigate all of the neat things to see in the night sky. [Recommended for the truly younger astronomers - ages 3-6.] |
| 10:30 a.m. |
Explorers: Get views of night sky objects through the eyes of robotic telescopes and spacecraft. [Open to all young astronomers.] |
| 11:00 a.m. |
Preparing for the Night Sky: Get ready for observing! Find your way around a telescope and make your own year-round star chart. [Open to all astronomers, young and old.] |
Drop-in Activities (begin at 10:30 a.m.):
- Help create our giant mural of things astronomical.
- Take apart and rebuild telescopes.
- Construct your own planisphere.
Parent or Guardian attendance is mandatory up to the age of 9,
and recommended for ages 10 and up.
